There are a few things every online entrepreneur, internet entrepreneur, needs to know when crafting emails that are effective and that are actually read!
I just want to share a few key tips for you to consider when you are crafting your email!
Tip #1- Create a Successful Subject Line:
What you place in the subject line is critical. You want to draw your list to actually open the email, rather than delete it! Research has actually shown that the number one reason people will open an email is trusting and liking the sender and then what the subject line says! That research is sooo true for me! I look at who is sending the email first and if I don’t ‘dig’ that person, it rarely will get opened and I will go ahead and unsubscribe from the list. Putting your name or your company name in the subject line is also important for every email for branding.
Tip #2- Create your call to action first:
When providing your information, start with a personal touch and note to your readers and then put your call to action next. Make sure that you provide actual content, though and not only a pitch for a sale. If it is a product or service that you know will help your list and truly believe in, than explain that to your list and educate them why it will help them or their businesses!
Tip#3- Keep it Simple:
When crafting your email, make the message simply, easy to read and to the point. Time is critical these days and your readers most likely will skim the message. To make your message nice and clean looking, try using bullet points, keeping the font size to a 10 and try using fonts such as Ariel, Tahoma or Veranda.
Tip #4- Links and Landing Pages are Important!-
An important tip is to sprinkle the link you want your reader to click on throughout the email so there are several opportunities to click on the link. I would keep it to 2-3 ‘sprinkles’ The landing page that your reader is taken to is also important …keeping in mind that graphics are proven to increase conversion rate by 40%
