First steps for a Teleseminar

There are several ways to conduct a teleseminar. Many people also conduct webinars..also really effective! However, if you are just beginning and feel comfortable with talking on the phone, than a teleseminar would be great to start out with.

First you want to secure a conference line that will record your information so you can have it downloadable for people who have missed the call. There are a lot of free services out there. The one I like and use is www.freeconferencecall.com Registering for a call in line to give to others is very important.

Next, you want to be sure you have some specific questions answered before you even begin putting together your teleseminar.

1. What is it you are wanting to sell?

2. Who is the target market you want to sell to?

3. What are there top 3 biggest challenges or obstacles that YOU have the answer to?

4. What are their problems? What do they strive for?

5. How will your product or service help them solve at least one of their problems?

Once you get clear on this, then you can move on to begin to put your teleseminar together!

Overcoming Fear

How do you overcome fear? Fear of failure, fear of success? Micheal Lardon, M.D discusses this in his book Finding Your Zone. One of the ways is through desensitization. Once you do something you are fearful of, the first time it is difficult, but once you do it,and keep doing it, you become desensitized..totally makes sense. Does it to you? I can recall fearing roller coaster…petrified!! Then I got on …in the very first car and although it was terrifying, I did it again and again until I was no longer fearful. What about you?
Michael also mentions that if you see the bigger picture and remind yourself that life still goes on…the fear will disappear. Every Business Needs a Fan Page!

This is a must with social networking these days. Did you know there are over 300,000,000 users on facebook? A fan page will give you the professional image you need that is separate from your personal page. On this page you will post items, information, etc. only related to your business. How do you get started? I had to figure this one out and I would like to share what I found.

1. Go go http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php

2. Choose your ‘category’ for your fan page. This is important as it will need to be related to your business and what you do.

3. Find the ‘edit infromation’ lik floating in the upper rights section of the main screen. Enter your information here.

4. Upload a professional picture and add a fan box to your site.

5. Connect your twitter account as well! You can get the RSS feed link from your Twitter profile. You can also use your blog URL as well.

6. Create some video to upload on your site. I found it takes about 10 minutes …a little less …for each video. I plan on loading my videos at night before I hit they hay!
